Shipping Container Ramps for Easier Loading and Unloading
Getting equipment in and out of a shipping container can be a hassle, especially when you are dealing with the raised threshold at the cargo doors.
In this video, Channing and William test a new set of plasticized rubber shipping container ramps designed to make loading and unloading easier. The ramps are compact, portable, and much simpler to handle than traditional heavy-duty steel ramps.

These rubber ramps were selected to match the height of a shipping container door sill.
Each ramp measures approximately 20 inches wide, 20 inches long, and 5.5 inches tall.
That size gives you a wide enough target for tires while keeping the slope gradual enough for equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, golf carts, quads, and even some vehicles.
Because the ramps are 20 inches wide, you also have some room for error if your tires are not perfectly lined up when approaching the container.
Testing the Rubber Container Ramps
Before offering these ramps for sale, the team put them through several real-world tests.
They had already been used to move 3,000-pound totes in and out of shipping containers with a skid steer.
In this video, the ramps were tested again using both the shop forklift and a Bobcat.
Despite the weight of the equipment, the ramps held up well. There was some minor wear on the tread surface, but they remained fully usable after the testing.
Rubber Ramps vs Heavy-Duty Steel Ramps
